Dear staff,

On September 30, I announced the formation of the Provost Search Advisory Committee, which will guide the process for choosing Emory’s next provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. As the chief academic officer, the provost provides essential leadership for teaching, research, and service at Emory and will partner with me — as well as the deans and faculty — to achieve that mission. 

With the search now underway, ideas and feedback from staff will be vital to the process. As chair of the search committee, I will be facilitating a listening session with staff on December 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. I hope you can set aside this hour to join me and share your thoughts about what you would like to see in our next provost.
