Start of the Spring Semester
Dear Emory Community,
I hope you had a restful and restorative holiday season and that your 2024 is off to a great start. To all students – welcome back! Emory is simply not Emory without you, and I look forward to seeing your energy, ambition, and creativity throughout this new semester as you learn from our incredible faculty. I’d also like to give special thanks to our university staff and the health care employees who worked straight through these past few weeks. Your dedication is extraordinary.
Many have made resolutions for this new year. Some are modest while others are profound, representing the drive to fulfill personal and professional goals and ambitions. In a few short months, the members of the Class of 2024 will achieve their goal of earning a degree from Emory. This life-changing milestone and many others await our students, faculty, and staff throughout the spring semester.
With many classes starting today, please know this: each of you belongs at Emory. Your unique talents, perspectives, and contributions elevate the Emory community, and I am grateful to every one of you.
I wish you the best in the months ahead and I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish!
Sincerely,
Gregory L. Fenves
President
