Dear Emory Community,

As I approach my third month as Emory’s interim president, I continue to be deeply grateful for the chance to witness the heart of this extraordinary university. Every day, I see more of what makes Emory special: the people who bring our mission to life, the shared values that guide us, and the diverse perspectives that make us stronger.

This season invites us to pause and remember the importance of connection, compassion, and a sense of common purpose. These qualities run throughout Emory, and I see them reflected in the work, spirit, and generosity of our community.

I hope the days ahead offer you time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the company of those who are meaningful to you. Whether you spend the holiday with family, with friends, or in a quieter way, I hope it brings warmth and a renewed sense of peace.

Thank you for everything you do to strengthen and uplift our community. I am grateful for your contributions and for the dedication and care you show to Emory and to one another.

Warmest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to you and to those you hold dear.
